Daniele Tonelli

Daniele is an Italian tattoo artist who began his career a long time ago in his hometown of Rome.

From a very early age, he was fascinated by all kinds of images and paintings, as well as visual effects in films. He loved drawing and painting, so tattooing seemed like the place where he could bring it all together. He began as a tattoo designer in a tattoo shop and soon moved on to tattooing himself. After starting out in Rome, he moved to London, where he lived and worked for a couple of years. There, he had the opportunity to meet and work with many fantastic tattoo artists from around the world. He has also travelled and worked at tattoo conventions around the world, in Europe and the USA.

Throughout his career, he has explored and experimented with many different tattoo styles. He is therefore well versed in styles ranging from realistic black and grey to fine-line tattoos, and from American traditional to Japanese tattooing. He likes working with all kinds of tattoos and loves both classic and more experimental work. He also enjoys working on larger-scale tattoos.

When starting new projects, he likes to combine the client’s ideas with his many years of experience to create fantastic custom tattoos that are unique to each person. He loves working with the body’s structure and muscle contours to prepare and place a tattoo in the best possible way, so it fits like a tailored suit.

Today, Japanese and ornamental tattooing particularly interest him. Alongside these styles, he also does a lot of realistic black and grey tattooing.
